This project builds on Arcadia in Contemporary Urban Dwelling and explores architectural concepts for a sculptural Arcadian landscape.
The model embraced the aesthetic of a 'forest of light and dark' where a series of reflections and refractions are created through utilising light pollution and manipulating and warping glass facades. This further explores how we can abstract urban spaces and manipulate man-made space into unique experiential landscapes.
The model itself is composed of several different sections that begin to define an architectural design. This juxtaposition of materials and shape forms the basis for a relationship between building, landscape and inhabitants that creates very particular sensations with respect to the Arcadian ideal.
