Media Man looks into a well-known scene from “Shawn of the dead” (2004) and discusses Marshall McLuhan’s views on TV media. The medium is the message and the programmer is the audience. The sketch video abstracts the changing of channels and creates a single homogenous stream of information. This film emphasizes the focus on the ‘medium’, in this case, and television and how its message is communicated. By controlling the remote we ourselves become the programmer and editor of the information we receive.
